2019 was a year full of highlights for NIKIN . We have summarised the most beautiful and important moments for you.
The two founders of NIKIN, Robin and Nicholas, have reviewed the NIKIN year for you. In the video, they tell you everything we experienced together this year. We have listed a few points from the video for you.
GOTS certification for NIKIN
In January 2019, NIKIN reached another sustainability milestone. After detailed inspections, we have received the GOTS label. GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) guarantees ecologically produced fabrics. You can find all information about the certification and the label here.
Tree Planting Day in Lenzburg
In March, NIKIN planted trees on local soil for the first time. In Lenzburg, around fifty NIKIN fans and the entire NIKIN family planted over 500 trees. With beautiful weather and a great atmosphere, we were able to give something back to nature - right on our doorstep.
Visit to One Tree Planted
Our partner organisation One Tree Planted (OTP) takes care of planting the trees for us. They always plant the trees where they are most urgently needed. So that we can get our own picture of their work, the two NIKIN founders Nicholas Hänny and Robin Gnehm visited OTP in Colorado and planted trees with them.
Several awards for NIKIN
NIKIN has grown rapidly in 2019. This did not escape the attention of various major award organisations. We were particularly pleased about the following three awards:
- Participation in the final of the Swiss Economic Award
- Swiss Brand of the Year in the "Price-Performance" Category
- Title "Aargauer of the Year" for our Chief Environmental Officer (CEO) Nicholas Hänny
First pop-up store from NIKIN
Like little children, we could hardly wait for it to open: In November, our pop-up store opened in Zurich. From TreeSocks to clothing to TreeBottles, customers can buy products from our range there. A little NIKIN paradise in the heart of Zurich - that was definitely one of our favourite moments of 2019.
2020 will be even treeier
Anyone who thinks that we will now wallow in memories forever is very much mistaken. On the contrary, we are full of energy and are looking forward to an even busier 2020. We are also going full throttle in the new year. Many new products await you and we have exciting projects planned.
