It's second hand time!

Our Flohmi is meant to bring great people and matching things together by offering your sorted out clothes for sale to others.

But we also want to make you think, because if something is broken or you don't like it so much anymore, you don't necessarily have to throw it away. That's why there will be a new Clothing Repair Station at our Flohmi, where you can mend your clothes with expert help. In cooperation with Nähloft 59, a sewing machine and the know-how of a professional seamstress will be at your disposal.

Hand on heart: there's a shirt or sweater waiting for a second chance in your closet, too. Come by and turn old into new at the Clothing Repair Station.   

First choice second hand

The event will take place on Saturday, September 24, 2022 - the national Secondhand Day! A total of 20 exhibitors can offer their clothes and accessories at the Volkshaus Zurich. With the Flohmi we want to create a place for the community where sustainability can be lived in everyday life. Stand rental and entrance is free for all visitors. You can pay with cash or TWINT. Additionally we offer you an outlet corner with NIKIN products.

Good to know: According to the Green Button Initiative, garments are worn only four times on average before they are discarded. If you use a T-shirt fifty times instead, you can avoid an average of 83 kg of CO2 - the equivalent of the amount of CO2 that seven trees would otherwise have to compensate for.
