Alcohol-free mulled wine - warms the heart and stomach

non-alcoholic mulled wine

The Christmas market classic par excellence: mulled wine. But this drink can also be very tasty at home. Here we show you a recipe without alcohol:

Ingredients:

  • 1 litre red grape juice (without added sugar)
  • 500 ml cranberry juice (without added sugar)
  • 1 organic orange
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 pinch clove powder
  • 1 pinch cardamom powder

Preparation:

Mix the ingredients in a large pot and heat until boiling. Then reduce the heat and simmer gently. After about 30 minutes, pour everything through a sieve and enjoy the mulled wine hot.

Vegan TreeCookies - the delicious alternative

Christmas is baking and cooking time. If you'd like a vegan alternative to the many different Christmas biscuits, here's a recipe for you.

Ingredients for 15-20 Piece:

  • 200 g ground almonds + 1 tablespoon for rolling out the dough
  • 120g fine icing sugar
  • 1 spoon cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 large tablespoons almond butter
  • ½ lemon, only the juice
  • 1 tablespoon water (or more if the dough is too dry)
  • 50g vegan chocolate

Preparation:

Cut the vegan chocolate into small pieces. Now put all the ingredients in a large bowl and knead everything well. If the dough is too dry, add a little more water. If the dough is too wet, add more ground almonds.

Now roll out the dough with a little ground almonds on the work surface. This prevents sticking. Roll out the dough until it is about 1 cm thick or to your liking.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius convection.

Take a tree-shaped cookie cutter. Cut out the biscuits and place them on a baking tray with baking paper.

Bake the Cookies for 10-12 minutes until they are nice and golden brown and crispy on the outside.

We wish you bon appétit! And by the way, if you are looking for more NIKIN recipes, you can find them here.
