NIKIN Flea Market & Clothing Repair Station

It's second hand time!

Our flea market is designed to bring great people and suitable things together by offering your discarded clothes for sale to others.

But we also want to encourage people to think, because if something is broken or you don't like it anymore, you don't necessarily have to throw it away. That's why there will now also be a Clothing Repair Station at our Flohmi, where you can mend your clothes with expert help. In collaboration with Nähloft 59, a sewing machine and the expertise of a professional seamstress will be at your disposal.

Hand on heart: there's a shirt or sweater in your wardrobe waiting for a second chance. Come along and easily turn old into new at the Clothing Repair Station.   

First choice second hand

The event will take place on Saturday, September 24, 2022 - the national Secondhand Day! A total of 20 exhibitors will be offering their clothes and accessories at Volkshaus Zurich. With the Flohmi, we want to create a place for the community where sustainability can be lived in everyday life. Stand rental and admission is free for all visitors. Payment is made with cash or TWINT. We also offer you an outlet corner with NIKIN products at this Flohmi.

Good to know: According to the Green Button Initiative, garments are only worn an average of four times before they are discarded. If you use a T-shirt fifty times instead, you can avoid an average of 83 kg of CO2 - that is equivalent to the amount of CO2 that seven trees would otherwise have to compensate for.
