The Woman Behind the Change
Many know her as “Fabric Girl” or as the face of Säntis Textiles. We know her as the driving force behind a technology developed by her father, Stefan Hutter, that has the potential to transform the textile industry in a sustainable way. Thanks to the innovative, fiber-friendly RCO100 recycling process, Säntis Textiles can recycle used cotton textiles multiple times and recover high-quality cotton fibers from them. This results in 100% recycled cotton of a quality that is unique worldwide. As managing director, Annabelle works daily at the intersection between textile collectors, producers, and brands. Her goal: to view used clothing and fabric scraps not as waste, but as a valuable resource for new products.

Our first jacket made from recycled cotton
The photos for this campaign were taken in a TellTex warehouse, surrounded by mountains of collected used textiles. This is exactly where the story of RCO100™ begins. Instead of discarding valuable cotton or processing it into low-quality products, existing textiles are recycled into new fibers. This results in high-quality fabric that can be worn again. In this way, cutting scraps and end-of-life textiles become the beginning of something new.

Our first truly circular long-sleeved shirt - inspired by the cycle of nature
The TreeShirt Mono Longsleeve is of course brand new when it arrives at your home, but the yarn already has a long story to tell: The fibers of your new garment have been used for other textiles before and could now be used again through a special type of recycling technology. Unlike conventional mechanical recycling, this method allows the fibers to retain their original structure without damaging them. This creates a unique quality standard that you can now feel in your new longsleeve. And best of all: neither water nor industrial chemicals were used in its production!

How does RCO100™ recycling technology work?
Textile collection & sorting
Textile waste from the manufacturing process (fabric and yarn waste) as well as pre- and post-consumer clothing is collected and sorted by color and composition.
Dismantling the textiles
The textile waste is transported to the RCO1OO™ textile recycling plant and broken down into fiber form.
Fiber processing
The unique fiber-forward finishing technology gently opens the cotton and produces particularly long fibers without using water or chemicals, so that the fiber remains in its natural state and the high quality standard is maintained.
Yarn production
The mechanically recycled cotton is now processed into ready-to-spin yarn. This can hardly be distinguished from the original, virgin cotton yarn - but it is 100% recycled!
